Composite template editing gets a smoother activity-editing workflow, with direct edit, customize, and return-to-editor support.
Features
- Customize activity templates from the composite editor — You can now clone an activity template directly from a composite template's activity card. A dialog lets you name the customized copy, and we redirect you straight into editing the clone. This makes it easy to tailor an activity for one course without affecting the shared template.
Improvements
- Edit activity templates in one click — When you have write permission on an activity template, the composite template editor now shows an "Edit Template" action that takes you straight to the editor. Previously, you had to open "View Template" and then click Edit from the info page.
- Return to the composite editor after editing an activity — After publishing or discarding changes to an activity template you opened from a composite template, we now bring you back to the composite editor automatically. This keeps you in flow when you're making several changes in a row.
- Clearer permissions on template actions — "Customize Template" is now disabled when you don't have permission to clone the underlying template, so the available actions reflect what you can actually do.
