We rebuilt the image cropper across every surface and simplified workspace and subscription management for administrators.

Versions included: v12.8.0

Features

  • One cropping experience, everywhere — workspace images, template backgrounds, item type icons, and user avatars now share the same rebuilt cropper, with drag handles and a resizable crop area that make it easier to frame the image you want.
  • Faster uploads and smaller files when you don't crop — images that don't need cropping now pass through to storage byte-identical to the source: original format, original quality, original size. Previously every uploaded image was re-encoded as PNG on the way through, which inflated JPEGs.
  • More image formats supported — BMP uploads now work, and SVG uploads are reliable.

Improvements

  • Simpler account management — we consolidated account types to Standard and Enterprise, retiring the legacy SafeCommunity, SafeSLS, and Team types so workspace and subscription decisions are clearer for administrators.
  • Guardrails against misconfigured subscriptions — plans now define whether seats are fixed, range-bound, or unlimited, and seat counts are validated against that policy at the plan level.
  • Accurate status for sales-managed subscriptions — subscription status now derives from the start and end dates, so an expired subscription correctly shows as "Lapsed" instead of "Active."
  • No more accidental open-ended subscriptions — every sales-managed subscription must have an explicit end date, so a contract can't be left running indefinitely by mistake.
  • Training Partner plans for Standard workspaces — Training Partner plans can now be selected when creating a Standard workspace subscription.
  • A leaner platform under continuous improvement — we removed deprecated Pendo analytics and Salesforce Chat integrations that we no longer used. Cleaning out unused code paths lets us ship improvements to you faster.

Fixes

  • Modal dialogs render their contents again — some dialogs, including "Invite New Team Members," could appear empty after a recent UI library update. They now show their contents as expected.
